Martin says new timeline shows Koster inaction on Obamacare

(From attorney general candidate Ed Martin's campaign)

On Friday, the Ed Martin for Attorney General campaign announced an interactive timeline feature on the campaign website EdMartinforMissouri.com. The interactive timeline details liberal Democrat Attorney General Chris Koster’s inaction on ObamaCare from the day it was signed, through the recent Supreme Court decision and more.

Martin believes the timeline can be a powerful tool for the campaign in the coming months.

“The timeline vividly shows how Koster failed to fight against intrusions on personal freedom, religious liberty, and rationing of care. This feature can help us win the argument in the public arena because it provides all the facts that Missourians need to know about Koster’s record of inaction on ObamaCare. The timeline shows how Koster stood idle, over and over again, while a case of vital importance to every single person in Missouri was debated, argued, and finally resolved.”

Martin also criticized Koster for his inaction.

“Missourians should have had an Attorney General to consistently stand up for them and fight ObamaCare, but Koster decided to play liberal party politics instead. When thirteen states filed suit, Koster abandoned Missouri and refused to stand up to Barack Obama by firmly joining the challenge to ObamaCare. This is just what would be expected from Obama’s Lawyer. Missourians voted overwhelmingly against the ObamaCare mandate in 2010, but Koster was more concerned about being a loyal political lawyer for Barack Obama.”

Martin hopes that the timeline will help voters understand the difference between himself Koster as they prepare to vote in this crucial election - one of the major differences being Martin’s willingness to stand up to the Federal Government.

“If I am Missouri’s Attorney General, I will stand up against intrusions on our individual freedom, religious liberty, rationing, and cuts in care," Martin said. "I will fight, come hell or high water, for our rights and freedoms. Koster has proven that he won’t do that, and that being an Obama lawyer means more to him than doing his job for us.”

The full interactive timeline can be found at EdMartinforMissouri.com/InactionTimeline. It can also be downloaded as a PDF.

Instead of wasting time, money, and resources this State should be working hard right now to implement the ACA to ensure efficiency and effectiveness for ALL MO people. If MO does not get in here and implement for our efficiency and effectiveness, the Federal Govt will do it for us. Now is the time to act. There are MANY good things in the ACA that the people need and want. Health care reform was kicked down the road for decades by Republicans. They had their chance; they failed to act. Finally, a President and a Congress had the guts to make reform real and we should be acting to make it work rather than sabatoge the implementation.
