National Rifle Association endorses Ed Martin

(From Ed Martin's campaign for attorney general)

Ed Martin, Republican candidate for Attorney General, proudly announces his endorsement by the National Rifle Association. The announcement precedes the Republican primary election next Tuesday, August 7.

Martin said of the NRA’s support for his candidacy:

“As Missouri’s new Attorney General, this proud NRA member will be honored to stand up and fight every time that our Second Amendment freedom is attacked by the gun control lobbies. The weak record of the liberal incumbent, Chris Koster, is dismaying.  Koster failed to stand up to ObamaCare, and catered to the liberal-left that has taken control at the top of his political party. Koster can be depended on to hide or surrender when the liberal gun control lobby tries to push ahead in its continuous effort to undermine and destroy constitutional freedom.

“I will act vigorously against criminals who use or possess firearms. I will champion the freedom of law-abiding citizens to own firearms for self-defense and the defense of their families, and for hunting and competitive or recreational shooting. I will oppose the never-ending schemes of anti-freedom gun control groups to obscure and diminish the plain meaning of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  The NRA is an unsurpassed champion of Americans’ individual freedom under the Second Amendment, and I am very proud to have their support.”
